The decontamination of a RediRoom should take place:
- After each patient use
- At regular, pre-defined intervals - all parts (including wheels, castors and the underneath sections) should be decontaminated on a regular basis
- After blood or body fluid contamination - a risk assessment should take place and decontaminated accordingly
- Before inspection, service or repair
- Before disposal - if the RediRoom needs to be decommissioned, it should be fully decontaminated the same as between patient uses and disposed of as per local policy
